About Rooster Tales
Now in it's 8th season on Bally Sports North & Wisconsin, Rooster Tales strives to bring viewers along on North America's top upland bird hunting adventures. Originally, Rooster Tales was driven by conservation and character stories that revolved around the wiley ringneck. Today, we're after a different story. It still involves upland birds and the dedicated work behind Pheasants Forever, Quail Forever and their members, however, today we like to tell their story while joining them on exciting adventures.
Rooster Tales is driven to grow the upland bird hunting lifestyle and we believe that more hunters will get involved in the conservation side of the equation once they've been hooked on the hunt. Our mission is to reach current hunters and HOPEFULLY create new ones. We've always had a strong belief that Pheasants Forever's work is helping the greater cause, which is why we partner with them to showcase the projects and opportunities this land has to offer. In the end, we are all in this conservation battle together. And, like you, we all want to see the fruits of our labors - endless Rooster Tales!
About Ron Schara Productions
Established in 1995
Ron Schara’s story proves dreams do come true. Back in 1995, Ron, an outdoor beat writer for the Minneapolis Tribune, thought his love of outdoor story telling could be turned into a television success story. Inspired by news programs such as 20/20 and 60 minutes, Ron brainstormed an outdoor adventure program and got to work. The title? Minnesota Bound. The star of the show? A six-month-old black lab named Raven. Ron’s way with words instantly touched the lives of all who watched, and the Minnesota Bound story was born.
As Minnesota Bound grew in popularity, so did Ron and Raven. He suddenly found his work on television, on radio, in newspapers, and even an annual Ron Schara calendar. Ron Schara Productions quickly formed, and the company found itself creating outdoor television programs for channels such as ESPN, Versus Network, Outdoor Channel and, Fox Sports Networks. The cast of television personalities also grew with the addition of Ron's daughter, Laura, and "The Man About The Woods," Bill Sherck, Jared Christie and Travis Frank. These days, Minnesota Bound is a numbers game. Get this: nineteen seasons complete, with nearly 800 episodes produced, and twelve regional Emmy awards earned.
Ron Schara Productions is a small production house with a big passion for great writing and videography. RSP now employs eighteen talented outdoor communicators. Located in the heart of Minnesota's Twin Cities, our production facility houses a state of the art production studio, six production suites, a full line-up of HD cameras, an on-site audio studio, graphics department, and, of course, a world-famous black lab. The Ron Schara team currently produces eight local, regional, and nationally-televised programs. Ron Schara Productions provides communication services to some of the most well-respected customers in the world.
